Sound meditation and other kinds of meditation techniques, what is the difference?

Sound meditation has a very important role to play in promoting the well of mankind. Many researchers around the world do not get the point in terms of the differences that exist in various types of meditation. These mistakes have been published by respected research articles, newspapers, magazines and sometimes textbooks. This is not the correct situation on the ground. Sound meditation

I have read literature written by meditation experts on various meditation techniques. The first differences are in terms of meditation room settings. While sound meditation uses mantra, the Zen Buddhist will focus on one’s breathing. The sounds are not produced loud. The focus on thoughts or sensations is the major focus of the Theravadas Buddhism. Kriya Yoga

The Kriya yoga is known to focus on the breath as a divinity during and after meditation. Sufism is very different from the sound mediation process because it closely follows the inner feelings of love for God. It can rightly be said that the points of departure in many of the meditation processes arise out of their regard to mental faculties. Some focus on memory, attention, reasoning, bodily awareness or visualization. The second differences arise from the way these facilities are used. It can be passive, effortless, active or forceful. The points of focus can be internal energy, love, images, breath or internal energy among others.


There are wide differences in the way that the meditation techniques differ when it comes to the question of belief. A section of the practitioners emphasizes on having religious or philosophical views. Others prefer having complete independence from all other issues of belief. There are also great differences when it comes to choosing goals. Some aim at mental well being while others aim at physical health. From the above discussion, you can clearly see that it is completely wrong to regard the different procedures as being the same. It is not true and the arithmetic does not add up. These differences must be understood before we embark on understanding the essence of the various procedures. Once you know the difference between sound mediation and other types of mediation highlight above, you will be in a position to choose the one technique that you prefer most. In some cases, the differences may seem highly unexpected. Some procedures may require the use of efforts while others may require effortlessness. Lastly, some procedures focus on breathing while others like sound meditation, focus on sound or mantra!
